Clarity over asset inventories
To give greater transparency and improve your understanding of how our platform processes and deduplicates your assets, you can now view the raw data that we fetch from your asset inventories and security tools in Panaseer. It allows you to clearly compare the raw device data counts with the processed device data counts.
Remediation Objectives to Replace Campaigns
We’re excited to roll out our new Remediation Objectives, which will replace our Campaigns functionality. Remediation Objectives will allow you to define the scope (filter), schedule (start/end date) and target value for a given metric, and then track your progress over the chosen time period.
Objectives can be:
- High-level organization priorities, such as:
- Increase CMDB coverage to 99%.
- Reduce the average time to patch from 16 days to seven days.
- Operationally focused, such as removing all detections of Log4Shell from critical devices by the end of the quarter.
Remediation Objectives allow you to measure your current progress and understand if you’re on track to achieve the target in the chosen schedule.
The new functionality will be available to all customers by the end of March. Our Campaigns functionality will be retired at the end of April, meaning you’ll no longer be able to use this to track remediation.
Please reach out to your Customer Success manager to find out more.
New Navbar slide-out menu UI
You’ll notice the left-hand navigation menu in Panaseer change to a new ‘slide-out’ menu feature later this month. This is part of ongoing improvements to the way you navigate and complete tasks in our platform.
There will be a few small changes to your navigation content within the menus and an improved UI design:
A new “Log out” icon replaces the “Profile” icon within the Navbar and helps your users confirm log-out securely. The Profile and User management can now be found in the “Settings” cog icon menu.
More control over Business Logic
Our Business Logic feature allows users to classify entities based on their business knowledge. It could previously only be enabled/disabled for the whole product.
To give you more control and allow for easier incremental migrations, this functionality can now be enabled at the attribute level. This will ease the migration to Business Logic and help you unlock the value of self-serve business context rules for all users.

Data Trust – Device datasource data
We are enriching your inventory dataset further to allow you to easily explore the lineage of an asset identified from multiple data sources. This will help you make the connection between data you are familiar with and the enriched data in Panaseer.
We are in the process of rolling this out as a beta feature to a subset of customers. Should you be interested in receiving this first, please reach out to your Panaseer representative.
Metric alerts
We’ve recently added the ability to use percentage change as a trigger for metric alerts. For example, you might choose to be notified if your total number of vulnerabilities detected increases by 5%.
There were previously two options – to be notified if an “increase” or “decrease”. We have now added a third option, where you can be notified of a “bi-directional” change, i.e. if the metric increases or decreases.
Legend and axis drill down
For stacked bar and column charts which are broken down by two dimensions, you could previously only drill into both dimensions by clicking on a segment of the bar/column. Now you are now able to drill into a single dimension by clicking on the labels within the legend and axis.

Panaseer Labs: Remediation objectives
We are in the early stages of building a brand-new functionality – the Dynamic Remediation Tracker.
This will enable you to dynamically track the remediation progress of specific detections (control failures or gaps), helping you better manage and report your risks.
We're still at the beginning of the feature lifecycle. This is a great opportunity to be part of Panaseer's product development. Please get in touch with your Panaseer contact if you'd like to learn more.
