NIST 2.0 added to Panaseer

We are pleased to announce that NIST v2.0 is now available in Panaseer.

The NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) v2.0 introduces updates and refinements to the original 2014 framework (v1.0), designed to address evolving cyber threats and incorporate advancements in technology.

NIST v2.0 aligns with new security challenges, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies like cloud computing, supply chain security, and artificial intelligence, helping organizations, particularly in critical infrastructure, strengthen their cybersecurity programs and better manage risks.

Key updates include:

  • NIST v2.0 Tagging: All standard (non-custom) metrics have been updated with the relevant NIST v2.0 tag(s). Any control checks adopted from now on will also be updated with the tags.
  • Tag Visibility: As with other frameworks, you can now view the applicable NIST v2.0 tag(s) directly on the metrics/control check description page for each relevant metric or control check.

Feature Enhancements

Phishing report insights added to the User Awareness module

We’ve added new insights to the User Awareness module. If your organization uses a phishing report tool for end users, you can now monitor its adoption and effectiveness.

Key features include:

  • Report tracking: Measure how many phishing reports you're receiving.
  • Engagement metrics: See what percentage of users are reporting suspected phishing emails.
  • Business comparison: Compare reporting rates across different departments by leveraging Business Logic attributes in the People Inventory.
  • Simulation analysis: If supported by your tool, assess how many reports are related to phishing simulations you have run.

This update helps you track user engagement and improve overall phishing detection across the organization.

Connector configuration parameter input enhancements

We've improved data validation in the connector configuration parameters through small UI improvements and validating more parameters at input.

Extended filtering options in metric record tables

filtering options in the metrics table

You are now able to combine checkbox filtering and the filtering pop-up options when filtering a column. This provides greater control over filtering, making it easier to focus on specific data.

Previously, the button to open the filter pop-up was disabled when using checkbox filtering on a column in the metric records table.
