Score weighting in the Controls Scorecard

edit the weighting of scorecard

The overall score on the Controls Scorecard can now be calculated by applying weightings to the contributing dashboard scores.

You enter a percentage to define the weighting for each dashboard score. The percentage represents a share of the total 100% that is divided among all the dashboard scores.

This lets you to assign levels of importance to each dashboard score, resulting in an overall score that accurately reflects the priority of each initiative, providing a more accurate summary of your controls status.

Key properties of weighting on the Controls Scorecard:

  • Influence is defined by a percentage: Each score is assigned a percentage to define it's influence on the overall score.
  • Relative influence: The influence of a percentage is based on its size compared to the others; for example, a 50% weight has twice the influence of a 25% weight.
  • Percentages must total 100%: All dashboard percentages must add up to exactly 100%, ensuring a balanced calculation.
  • 0% removes influence: Assign 0% to a score to omit it from the calculation.
  • Balanced adjustments: The system ensures that any changes to percentages will always maintain a total of 100%, keeping the calculation consistent.

Feature enhancements

Wildcard options added to dashboard filters

We've extended the filtering options on dashboards to include wildcards for matching against parts of column values. You can enter a value that matches the start, end, any part, or the entire column value.

Wildcard filtering makes data retrieval easier by providing more freedom in how you retrieve information. Instead of exact matches, you can search using partial values and pull in data that would otherwise be time consuming to locate.
