Each month, we release new features, improvements, and fixes across the Panaseer platform. Here’s a summary of what’s new in this month’s release.
New features
Inventory Overview permission
We’ve introduced a new permission, Inventory Overview, that controls access to the View all inventories button in the sidebar and the See all inventories button on the Panaseer home page.
- Users with full read access are unaffected.
- Users with selective inventory access, such the ability to hide specific inventory types, will no longer be able to access overviews.
The Inventory Overview feature permission
This new permission gives administrators more granular control over who can view all inventories, helping align visibility with user roles and supporting least‑privilege practices.
Enhanced entity metadata and viewer information
We’ve expanded the Vulnerability entity metadata and viewer with new fields to provide richer context for vulnerability prioritization and remediation:
- Threat Intel: Integrates intelligence scores, such as CISA and Kenna, to highlight vulnerabilities with known exploitation activity or elevated risk.
- Vendor: Adds the Qualys Detection Score (QDS), delivering vendor-driven insights into vulnerabilities.
- EPSS: Introduces the Exploit Prediction Scoring System, which predicts the likelihood a vulnerability exploitation.
By combining vendor data, community intelligence, and predictive scoring, these fields give your team enhanced visibility and faster, more evidence-driven decision-making when managing vulnerabilities.
A compatible data connector is required to take advantage of this update. If no suitable connector exists, the new fields display – (dash) or N/A.
Feature enhancements
Improved connector performance
We’ve improved data accuracy and performance for connectors that process vulnerability and patch data.
Individual connectors now use dedicated internal tables to handle data before moving it into centralized tables. This update ensures cleaner data flows, reduces errors, and provides more reliable reporting across all affected connectors.
Clearer connector cards for each instance
We’ve added visual indicators to connector cards so you can easily see whether an instance is in stage, production, or both.
This makes environments easier to spot at a glance and reduces confusion when managing multiple connectors.
Colored sidebars indicate connector environments
Additionally, we now list disabled connectors at the end of the installed connectors list in grayscale with a clear Disabled tag, making them easy to distinguish from active connectors.
This change helps you quickly identify which connectors are inactive, reduces confusion, and streamlines management of your connector inventory.
