Search Inventories

The Inventory search feature allows you to discover entities of interest. It spans all Inventory types based on a range of common attributes. For more in-depth information, refer to the Inventory search article.

You can use the Inventory search to find Devices based on identifiers like MAC address, IP address or host name. Once you've found the entity you're looking for, you can access a consolidated overview of each Device entity. This provides key identifier information, data source details and other relevant data including the status of its installed controls.

Entity viewer tabs

You can access a variety of tabs when viewing individual entities via the entity viewer. You'll find a summary tab displaying information such as:

  • Entity identifiers (e.g., DNS)
  • Contextual information about the entity (e.g., business unit)
  • Information about related entities (e.g., applications hosted by a device entity)

Depending on the type of information relevant to the entity, you'll encounter a range of additional tabs, for example:

  • Vulnerabilities: Lists the vulnerability detections associated with the Device.
  • Applications: Displays a list of applications hosted by the Device.

Using these tabs, you can explore and gather insights about each individual entity, tailoring your analysis based on specific information you require.
