Searching an Inventory

To search for an Entity via the Panaseer Homepage

  2. Type your search term into the search box and press Enter.
  3. Entities that contain the search term within key attributes are returned in a table.

Your search is performed across all Inventory types. Select the relevant Inventory tab at the top of the page to see the results for that type (e.g., to jump to the list of vulnerabilities that match your search term, click on the Screenshot 2020-09-04 at 17.35.17.png tab).

You can explore each Entity returned by your search in more detail by navigating to the related Entity Viewer. Please refer to Accessing Entity Viewers for more information.

What can you search for?

From the search page, you can view the searchable attributes by clicking the link under the search bar. You must be on the relevant inventory tab to view searchable attributes for that Inventory type.

For example, the list of Vulnerability searchable attributes can be seen:

Filtering search results

Search results can be filtered down further by using the Filter section on the left-hand side of the table. Available filter attributes can be searched for and viewed. Expand the filter attribute to view available filter options. Select the relevant filter option to filter the table by that value.
