New Features
Enhance data consistency with Entity Resolution
Entity Resolution connects assets across multiple security tools, creating a unified inventory of devices. Poor Entity Resolution leads to overlinking and underlinking, which can lead to inaccurate data, misleading insights, and reporting errors in dashboards or inventories.
The Entity Resolution Overview delivers a concise snapshot of trends across your data sources leading to sharper insights, improved efficiency, and more informed decision-making for your organization.
You can access Panaseer's Entity Resolution page by clicking the left-hand menubar Data Management Center icon and then selecting Entity Resolution.
Investigating overlinking and underlinking
Overlinking occurs when distinct devices are mistakenly identified as one, while underlinking occurs when a single device is incorrectly treated as multiple devices.
Using the new Overlinking and Underlinking pages in Panaseer, you can confidently identify and resolve these linking challenges.
See Entity Resolution for more information.
Focus on different strategic goals with Multiple Scorecards
Scorecards distil complex data from several metrics into a single, comprehensive score, providing immediate clarity on your organization's controls performance.
Now you can build as many scorecards as your organization needs, allowing you to quickly shift focus between different strategic goals. For example, you might build a scorecard for each region in which your organization operates, AMER, EMEA and APAC or you could create Security Framework-aligned scorecards to track compliance against NIST CSF or CIS Controls.
See Building Controls Scorecards for more information on how to create your own.
Please contact your Panaseer CSM for help with customizing your heatmap breakdown.
Feature Enhancements
Focus on key data with customizable heatmaps
You can now customize how scorecard dashboard scores are broken down into the heatmap. This allows you to focus on the rows and columns that matter most to you. Click the button in a scorecard and select Configure Heatmap to get started.
Changes made in the editor are applied globally for all users of this scorecard.
We've added some examples to get you started, but remember to separate each breakdown type with a comma and don't include spaces between entries.
Please contact your CSM for help with heatmap global defaults and the relationship between attribute names and dimensions.
Isolated testing for packaged Connectors
Panaseer now includes a staging area in the Data Management Center (DMC) for creating and testing packaged connector additions, version changes, and configuration changes.
Testing connectors in isolation reduces the risk of system failures or user disruption, ensuring a smoother and more reliable rollout to your stakeholders.
Please contact your CSM for more details on packaged connectors.
Analytics Pack enhancements
We’ve updated the Vulnerability Management Analytics Pack with improved metrics to analyze and report on historic and ongoing vulnerability remediation performance, including:
- Average age of fixed vulnerability detections
- Number/Percentage of Fixed Vulnerability detections that satisfied SLA
- Number of Fixed Vulnerability detections
- Average time to fix a vulnerability detection
- Total number of fixed and open detections
This update is only available to customers using the managed Vulnerability Management Analytics Pack and Data Connectors collecting the relevant scoring information from a compatible data source, such as Vulnerability Scanner.
